Well im here to say hey!

My name is Alex, and I am a So Cal guy. Im 21, lived the SAD life for all my life, and now I'm looking to try something new.

A family member told meabout her raw life, and i decieded to go at it.

So far its been a week, and Ive been at the least, 55% raw. So ya. Not so good, but I am getting better.

I just need my dehydrator and vitamixer, and ill be set for everything.

55% is great....it's 55% more raw food than you ate last week. By the way, I think getting Alissa's book and DVD are the first thing anyone should get when going raw. Then it would be the vitamix, food processor and then the dehydrator. If you watch Alissa's DVD you'll see that she doesn't even use the high speed blender (vitamix) and her food processor is one that's probably 30-45.00. She said she didn't get the more expensive appliances for a long time and did just fine. ( I do have to say that I love my vitamix and cuisinart food processor - there's a big difference - but the other worked fine too) Now that I've given my opinion.....the next person could have a completely different one. I would definately go for the book and DVD first after watching and reading you'll really know what your getting into and how to do it.

Hi Alex,

You'll love your vitamix. I use mine multiple time a day. I have to admit, that after getting one, I found it much easier to stay raw. The green smoothies, shakes, and raw soups have made all the difference for me.

Best of luck on your journey!!
