3. place in bowl and stir in diced strawberries
4. mold into a pie plate

1. dice 1/2 cup of the strawberries. set aside
2. in food processor, blend the remaining 2 c. of strawberries and the bananas until smooth.
3.Place in bowl, stir in diced strawberries
4. pour in crust.

*~*~*~*~ Here is my modified version......

crust

I add a little water to it because I never can get it smooth. But just a little.

I don't add any fruit to the crust any more - just the almonds and dates and it's SO GOOD.

filling:

I use a bag of organic frozen raspberries instead of strawberries. OHHHHHHH it's so good.

and I freeze the pie in the freezer so it's nice and firm.

Everyone loves it.

It's good as dessert OR breakfast and lunch! It's a smoothy on a crust.

Enjoy!

Does the crust get soggy? I tried making a strawberry cheesecake (pre-raw) with fresh strawberries on top once and it turned into a soggy mess.

Yes - it can get soggy if I added too much water. The recipe doesn't call for any so if you can avoid it - I would. But when i do add the water I freeze the pie and it doesn't get soggy that way - only if I leave it in the fridge or on the counter.

Hope that helps

Oh my GOD!! My mouth is watering!!!!!!!

You know what you could try? Soaking the almonds for about 4-8 hours and putting them into the food processor without dehydrating them. You may not need the extra water then. I'm totally making this pie this weekend.

THANK YOU!!!!!

The crust makes wonderful cookies also. Put in the dehydrator.
