It's just as well since I've been having a lot of chocolate the last 4-5 days and am now "off" it and going through a detox. Buggers.

Anyways, I decided that as long as I can't have my GS today I will get my greens by loading up with the VitaMineral Green that I haven't used too much of. Time for a cleanout. I'm going to have as much of this stuff and water as I can stand, no food today. I also oil pulled for nearly an hour and a half this morning. I'm feeling clearer already! And very peaceful.

I'm sitting here listening to a beautiful Bach performance that I downloaded from http://www.archive.org/details/audio for free. Bazillions of free books and music there so the public has access to literature and other good stuff. Genius.

So, all is not lost. I guess it could be worse. Peaceful music for free, concentrated greens already here, my headache's lifting and I'm feeling clear.
I think I might even label this thread with a smiley face instead of a frown. Yup.

Eva -- thanks for mentioning the site. there's a lot of educational stuff on there!:D if i were younger, a site like that would've scared me. :)

will you be getting another blender?

oai -- I don't know if I'll get another one. I actually just bought this one less than three months ago. If they'll exchange it, that would be beautiful. It just feels wasteful to buy another one if I'll be here for only 3 more months. But I might do it!

And yeah -- isn't that site GREAT!?

Eva,
If need new blender, Costco rocks. Save receipt for however and get refund. No kidding and talking 4 years later too. Key: receipt.

Link:
Thanks.

Podcasts:
Never did anything to hear so do I need to download any software or think of as MP3? You can tell I never did this before but always willing to learn. I assume can hear it from my fancy Dell new computer I love: Vostro 200. Got the rep if interested and I get nothing but pleasure sharing. She did me right so under $1,000 I'm super pleased and yes rockin service I got extended as well. Now 2 minutes or less hold time, American communicators so can save time. Their Gold service rocks.

Hey Carol -- That is great to know about CostCo. I bought it here in Hungary, though. And I'm only staying until December, so it's a tough call if I want to buy a powerful one, not buy one, or what. It's only 3 months.

As for the podcasts, I'm a geek for classics and have been listening to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum recordings. I've been listening on the streaming audio to the most beautiful music. I am listening now to: http://www.archive.org/details/ISGM_Podcast-The_Concert-22 I clicked on the link on the top/right that says "stream".

Then (on my computer) I get a popup for Windows Media Player and it starts playing within about 10 seconds from when I clicked the link.

Congrats on the computer! I have had a bad personal experience with a Dell computer (but I've been through... hmmm... 8 computers? in my life, so that one was about 4ish years ago). But... I heard about that particular series not including all the random nonsense that comes on computers these days and running better because of it. I like the idea. I haven't looked at reviews or anything, but one of my web tech consulting guys was talking it up. That's good. :)

Poor Eva, I see your predicament. I had the same dilema when I was tempoarily moving to Canada and my blender broke a few months before I left. I opted for a cheap one, knowing it would still be there when I got back, but your situation is a bit different. Do you have a food processor that you could make do with? If it were me, I would use up the Vitamineral Green stuff and try to make it through with out a blender (less stuff to move back with you);)

Hang in there, I hope the time flies fast for you.

Yes, spicyfull, I do hope time travels fast! I'm in the middle of REALLY really thinking about how important it is to me to have a blender. I'm thinking about buying another, but I really think it's wasteful. I think I can manage without it, but who knows. I'd rather spend $50 on getting a wheatgrass shot every couple days or something. I'm already wondering what I will do with my D when I leave.

Sigh. Oh well! I am having another wonderful day, although I woke up really late.

All right! I made ice cream WITHOUT a blender or FP (and no, no FP either)... I just took sliced frozen banana, mashed it with a fork, mixed it with carob, maca, some walnuts, and something else I'm forgetting. Oh well, but I mashed it really well, and it came out really tasty! :)

Eva, you're a Ray of Sunshine on this board. Not a compliment; a mere observation :)

Good news in the blender department! It's under warranty, and I found out where the company has an office in Budapest. I'll be bringing it there tomorrow to get it fixed or replaced. :)
