Hi Everyone!

I have just started on a raw food adventure yesterday (9/16). I started this to clean myself up before an initiation into Kriya Yoga but I have been feeling pretty strongly that I needed to do it for health reasons anyway.

I have been an off and on again vegetarian for a long time now. I have done detoxes and cleanses in the past but I am just now connecting the dots for total long term healing and health.

I recently had yet another polyp removed from my sinuses. It won't seem to heal this time and he has put me on biaxin and prednisone..again! I will finish it out (3 or 4 more days I think) but in the mean time I'm going to eat raw and start to detox my body of other chemicals hopefully. This morning I'm not feeling to well but thats a good sign as I know that I'm at least getting rid of some of the stressers that are present in my body. I hope that i"m not waisting my time since i'm still on meds.

Anyhow I have a life long commitment to health and I WILL prevail one way or another. Maybe this time I have found the key :)

I will be getting the book living on live food this week and am looking forward to educating myself on the healing properties of food. Doing it the Western medicine way is obviously not working so this time I'll try it MY way hehe...

Blessings!
Carrie

Welcome here and best to you on your health journey. We all know no one can do it for you, but we can encourage you to the MAX.

If possible, a meetup.com group may be a nice local connection for eating pleasures. Maybe post your city here too. If groups in your area, come here. Kidding, but we are here for you regardless. This is actually like a family of friends here as outside my box, even though I am very social, hard to find people who really are there beyond their own needs. So, for me and my world, this is the place I can call for friends or be a friend.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW.........Welcome to MY World.

Eh, I had to say it first for once. :)

Where in NJ are you? I'm near Freehold. There are a number of raw food meetups. I've been to one of them, near Princeton. One of Alissa's graduates just started another, but I haven't been to that one yet.

Welcome!
