If you are, tell me if and where you shop for packaged raw food items, crackers, olives, whatever...

I'm always on the lookout for new places to shop locally. I don't have a dehydrator, and don't like to buy online as those credit card charges never seem to get paid off.

I have certain things I get at specific stores. PCC has some things I need but no raw packaged products. Same with Central Market. Whole Foods has a few, but not much. Last week I found Granola Natural Market (across the street from Central Market in Mill Creek), it has more raw variety than I've seen anywhere. Then there's Manna Mills in Lynnwood, but some of their stuff wasn't very fresh, especially the nuts. Today I found out about another store in the U-District. It's a vegan store with some raw gourmet products. http://www.sidecarforpigspeace.com/main/products.html

rawchic told me about a new restaurant/store opening in the U-District but I've lost it now, think it was called Thrive. Anybody know the address and if it's open yet? How big is the store part?

Tell me what you know! :)

the number one mostest awesome place is in Redmond- Raw Vegan Source . The owners, Tom and Susan, run it from thier house. The store is a co-op of sorts and you need to call and make an appointment- I think the hours are on the website (they are updating atm but I am sure that at least the phone number is on there). They are the best place to get raw chocolate, cocoa butter, coco oils, nut butters, lots of nuts (make sure you look in the fridge n freezer for nuts), and raw snacks galore- lots of crackers and chocolates and such. The prices on stufflike agave and chocolate make it worth the drive- plus you can poke around the huge permaculture site they started and buy produce. They are also carrying some locally made treats in the fridge, like Pad Thai from Nature's Pantry.

Nature's Pantry in downtown bellevue has a raw food chef on site 11-2 mon-fri who makes wraps and desserts for the deli. They have a juice bar as well.
The chef ,Adam,is really talented with curry spices and Asian flavors.

Thrive was supposed to open soon but I have no clue when they are- I looked in the store about 3 weeks ago and it was coming along but had a ways to go. I am thinking they will not open til October.

hope that helps=) feel free to email me-I plan on driving up to raw vegan source next week myself.

They are in Bothell and they have some raw stuff. Nuts, Goji berries, Goraw bars, Bubbies pickles, flax crackers, Lara bars, agave, cacoa, etc. No raw olives that I know of but they are good to order things for you if they can. They will be moving soon to a new shop a hop skip and a yodel from where they are now and will have a larger shop so more selection. Their nuts and seeds are the freshest you'll find anywhere. Jeff packages them up as needed.

Thank you raw ladies! I'll be visiting all of those places in the near future. :)
