I hate Gustav...

I started transitioning to 100% raw back in July. Then... we had to evacuate for Gustav (I'm live in New Orleans). Four weeks of work went down the tubes!!! We ended up in Alabama eating at restaurants for a week. We've been back for a week and I've decided to go cold turkey and start 100% raw Tomorrow (Sunday) morning. Ya'll pray for me!:o

BTW... the next time I decide to take my mom--who thinks this raw thing is too white (long story)--with me when I go to Whole Foods to buy produce, just shoot me and put me out of my misery!:rolleyes:

Well, if you can survive Gustav, you can survive shopping!!! Even if it IS with someone who is clueless about fruits and veggies.

My heart goes out to you. Been there, done that...and I'm here to talk about it, LOL!!!!!!!! :)

You do what you Have to do at the time. You Eat what you have to Eat at That time. You can Always correct a LifeStyle, if ALL your Bodyparts are in tact.

Mothers are Truly a Gift, although sometimes we can't see it. But she was Shopping with you. So take the little things and hold on to them. Now when she decides to eat better, which she will, you will be there to teach her. Invite her for Dinner when you get things together.

Smarty - Your Mom and My Boyfriend seem to have similar humor... he's along the lines of timing me .. he says if I cut ten minutes off my time next trip he'll pay for half my groceries... which is you know a bit generous considering they feed him too... lol!!!
