They might as well say cocain in moderation is ok to.

It's called money hungry. They will do anything to sell a product. They make a huge profit on this junk because it's so cheap to manufacture, and so cheap on our health.
I really despise commercials.

Well, the general public is gullible and will believe anything they see on TV.

HAH! I saw those 2 the other day and I was wondering what all of my fellow raw foodies would think! I was just waiting for this thread to pop up! how SAD!!!!!!!!!!!
However, Not EVERYONE is buying it atleast, my mom, sister, boss, and some other co-workers have already rid it from their diets!, but I do feel bad for all of the people who now believe HFCS is ok!

The reason they are running those ads is comsumption of HFCS is down. This is due to the bad reports on HFCS and health. Chart of comsumption can be viewed here:
I watched them (ridiculous), and there was this video prompt alongside it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi6fK1PvQK4&NR=1

People's consciousness is shifting - even the mainstreamers are connecting poor nutrition with suffering and disease. Don't you see teeny, tiny reminders of this all around you? It's quite exciting, I think. The food giants and their suppliers see this and are scrambling to preserve their hold on us. We are bound to see them perform every trick in the book in the coming times. Stay tuned for plenty of amusements! Thank the gods for those who see beyond the greed and lies and corruption - it will help us get well. Say the truth when you see it... :)

How scarry! I'm so glad my parents do not watch too much t.v.!

I know, I almost gagged when I saw that on TV.
Its a desperate move from a desperate money hungry industry. I tried talking to some friends about it and they were like "what? I don't see why that commercial is so bad" I was shocked they gave that reaction.
Sometimes our culture makes me sick.

Corn in syrup is one of the most likely foods to be genetically modified. Avoid it like the plague! This is an interesting reply to the HFCS issue. It's a bit long, but it covers several points.

OMG I saw this too and it took me about an hour to pick my jaw up off the floor and stop shaking my head in disbelief...
the extremes companies will go to to keep generating income with their crazily unhealthy, can't-even-describe-how-bad-it-is-for-you death syrup...

The world did just fine without television for thousands of years... I am glad I do just fine without it, now. ;)
Turn off the tube, and go compost something! ;)
(In other words, I don't let this ^$#!% bother me because I won't watch TV)

This is exactly why I don't own a T.V. and haven't owned on for many years. However, I see commercials like this it just sickens me and justifies my not having a T.V.
We are a fortunate bunch as we see the truth in all the lies out there. There is just so much support on this forum, with like minded people. Heck, I couldn't discuss this with my best friend, and she is Diabetic. The extremes people will go to humiliate us into buying into their scams!!!! HELLLLOOOOOO????? Dont' they realize there are people with brains out there who actually USE them frequently?????????????? Where are their brains??? In this commercial, it is supposed to make us feel stupid and like we just learned something really astounding and profound about HFCS~~ I don't think so....
