I had a rather frustrating experience today. I went to a local hf store and bought a Ginger Snap Smart Monkey bar (my favorite one) - supposedly good through November according to the stamp on the package. Well, when I opened the package I found the bar had mold on it in a number of places. :eek:

I took it back in, and we tried to find me one that wasn't molding. Sadly, no luck. We opened like 8 of them. He gave me my $$ back.

...not sure if I should feel good about the fact that they truly don't use any preservatives or wonder why they went bad with the date so far out on them...

Well I have Never heard of the Bar, I don't get out much. Maybe it got too warm at some point in shipment.

ewww..... yuck. Just another reason to bring out that food processor and make your own, huh?:confused: That is really bad.

I have found some mould growing on lara bars as they get near their best by date but I just scrape it off and eat away. Once the mould is gone the rest tastes perfect.
