View Full Version : Need help for fire ant bites

My grandbaby, 3 years old, lives in TX. Son in law waters grass lots; grandbaby walk outside without shoes and gets bitten by them. Any way to prevent these fire ants to hatch? Any natural remedies once they have bitten as I believe they swell up the leg. We prefer alternatives vs. drugs/poisons. Thanks for all help.

I've used Tea Tree Oil for years ... you still get a reaction but it's not as bad as doing nothing. Seems to help with the itching too. I've heard of a baking soda paste also.
