View Full Version : Irritable And Not Hungry

Well, I've been raw for the past 2.5 weeks and the past 3 days I have been soooOOooo irritable! I'm so easily annoyed by little things people say and do--it's like I have NO filter and if they are the least bit loud, brash, nosy, whatever their "thing" is, I feel like I just need to get away from them asap. I feel like I'm being over-stimulated and like I can't handle anyone's energy unless it is really, really, really awesome! I haven't encountered anyone recently with RRRA energy. Of course, I don't have it, EITHER.
I'm having a long-ish period (this is day 7), so maybe hormonal stuff in addition to detox? And I am hungry for ONE THING ONLY--dates stuffed with pecans. And liquds, like coconut water and kombucha. That's all I've eaten the past couple of days. It's like I can't get enough of it. Greens? What are those?!
I tried some old behavior--sort of forcing myself to try and eat more of what I thought "should" be part of my daily intake, ie. greens, but that didn't work. Felt like I was eating paper.
So this is interesting, riding out the waves of irritation, interesting food cravings, etc. I feel like such a date-obsessed malcontent--not a joyful vegan raw fooder! :p

dear date-obsessed malcontent, this too will pass!! I felt just that way at first. I felt raw! I also had long, unpleasant periods that made me cranky. If you feel like eating lightly, then just do it. You might like to try a day of juicing or green smoothies and see how that feels. I find that my digestion is not as efficient when I have my period and I feel better eating less.
I hope you feel wonderful very soon!!!!!:)

Thanks, Shashibala :) I'm feeling better, as if the irritability has lifted. I'm wondering to what extent it was hormonal, and time will tell. I'm feeling quite ok with people, places and things today. Emphasis on today. ;)
I am *still* enjoying my dates! haha! I've read some threads here on RFT on date-love, which were very affirming.
Wishing you a happy day.

I'm going through a date phase as well. I feel perfectly fine with it though because it's what I am currently craving (or have been for the past couple of days) and my body hasn't shown any negative responses.

Mm, that's good! I seem to be having another wave of mouth sores, like I did on day 3, and of course, I wonder if it's detox or perhaps a negative reaction to all the dates!
But I'm not obsessing either way....*as she pops another medjool/pecan yummy into her mouth* :D

I have just been throug the cranky state too. I have been high raw for about 4 weeks now and after about 2 weeks I had the irritable and moody days too. It lastet for about 4-5 days. It is all over now. I have more energy now, is not as sore in my muscles, is not as sensitive to others vibes and in a MUCH better mood :) So it will pass. I was also really suprised when that happend to me, since I wasent expecting it. But it is detox I gues.
Im totaly into dates too. They are just soooo yummy :p but I had days where it is worse than others. I find that eating enough fruits I dont crave dates. Also eating greens in salats or blended up as a pesto or somting helps a lot. Seeds too, like sesame, flax and hemp.
I hope you feel better soon :-))
