I want to do a 14 day water fast from all the toxins i built up over the years of bad eating but i have tennis class in college twice a week. Is it a really bady idea to do a fast with this class twice a week or can i just take it easy during my class and dont play to hard?

Only your body can tell you the answer.
If you are on a water fast for weight loss, moderate exercise is encouraged.
If you are water fasting for health recovery or spiritual reasons, complete rest is suggested.
Typically, on a water fast I will do 20 minutes of pilates daily. If I try to push myself too far - even on days where I have high energy levels, at some point my body will crave either to refeed or rest.

Thanks for the help
yep. i agree with raine. it depends on why you're fasting. if you're doing it for weight loss, don't exercise. you'll achieve the same weight loss with or without exercise. the only difference is without the exercise, your body actually gets a deeper cleanse. you can then build back better muscles and raw materials in your body.
if you have practice, definitely, do what feels right for you. if you don't have a match coming up, i'd suggest laying low. rest as much as you can. you'll come back better than ever afterwards. :D

In my limited fasting experience I have found that moderate exercise can be good for a few things...for one, resting all day becomes a chore....resting and not eating can be boring...things don't get done...and exercise is a natural appetite suppressant...atleast While you're being active. At some point you will hit a low blood sugar wall and you will have to rest, preferably Nap. Then you can wake up and do it all over again, lol...while it may not sound ideal it actually works great, but you need to be able to rest as needed I find.
Just listen to your internal cues, if you feel antsy, move around, if you feel tired, rest. It seemed to work fine for me.
I wouldn't recommend a Lot of it though...then you're just wearing yourself down.
I took a complete rest during my 18 day water fast...and I highly recommend resting on a water fast for anyone. A bit of yoga or light exercise was okay for me, but I was laying down almost constantly all other times. I got easily exhausted and my priority was to maintain the fast.
Be careful exercising while water fasting...I am now a believer in water fast = rest.

Exercise isn't really necessary when fasting. Very often it provides only a moderate improvement in condition.
If you're healthy, it's probably not a big concern. But people who are very toxic should not exercise while fasting, because it usually doesn't do anything other than make them feel weaker.
yes. exercise does help with boredom. :) whatever will get you through the fast and safely. if you can fast without exercise, then that is more preferable.
