Hey everyone
Ive been watching many videos on raw food liveing i decided to change my life. I love sports i always have but i havent been able to perform the best to my ability. Im 6 foot 255 right now i want to get down to 185 of muscle. I plan on going 100% raw and get all the junk food and crap out of my life. Also im worried that eating the way i did i will get diabetes or another illness.

Welcome to the forum! That's great that you are taking control of your health.
It's quite possible to be an athlete on raw foods. Do a search on Storm Talifero (www.thegardendiet.com) He has been raw for decades and is a very athletic guy. There are also videos on YouTube by a guy who is a raw vegan athlete.
Best of luck!
PS I like Donovan McNabb too! :)

Welcome!
May I suggest you purchase Alissa's book and DVDs? They are the ultimate raw food tool.
Also - check out Revvell's podcasts. I believe she's interviewed a couple raw athletes...

Let me just echo getting Alissa's book and DVD....watch the DVD first and then you won't be able to wait to dive into her book. The DVD shows you so quickly how easy it is to prepare some wonderful raw food dishes. By watching Alissa make several dishes you'll understand how to prepare pretty much any raw dish. Good Luck.

Welcome Pturski. My ex is a semi-pro footballer and I know how hard it is to switch gears with your diet when there is so much emphasis on protein, physical strength body building etc. I'm so inspired by your vision and I'm sure many other people will be too - especially athletes. Good luck!

That would be true. I've interviewed Dr. Ruth Heidrich, tower racer Tim Van Orden (who is coming to SoCal the end of this month), Brendan Brasier and more on RawkinRadio. (http://rawkinradio.com)

Well today was my first full day raw and it was kind of hard but i expected that. Today i walked in to my college cafeteria and i was craving all those fatty foods but i stoped myself. I instead bought a salad with cucumbers peppers and lettuce and i was pretty full cause it was a big salad. I do feel weird though its probably my body detoxing. Hopefully my craving for fatty food goes away as i keep detoxing. Dont worry guys im not giveing in to my craveing lol.
