Raw Almond Butter says it's not pasteurized

I bought it for my daughter as she's not raw and thought it's the closest I could get at my local HFS. Took it home and was reading on it...and it says it's not pasteurized...how can this be???! I thought it couldn't be sold in a store this way? It's Once Again Nut Butter brand. I'm getting really excited about it...but are they lying?

Almond Butter itself may not pasteurized, but that doesn't mean it's raw or that they use raw almonds. Their website mentions it's not raw: We try to produce our raw almond butter with as little heat as possible, but during the grinding process temperatures can reach up to 170 degrees.
