At least that is what I'm calling it, heh.
I have always been very afraid of green smoothies even though I only tried making them a few times and rarely made one I enjoyed. After being very very very constipated for several weeks, this morning, having sharp pains in my lower abdomen, and feeling desperate, I thought "lets try a green smoothie." I made a very simple one: 5 oz of spinach, a few tbsp of cocoa and stevia to sweeten. I tasted it and loved it! The texture, the balance between rich chocolateyness, earthy greens and mild sweetness was perfect! And then, about 15 minutes after its consumption I had one of the best bowel movements I have had in weeks. Now, I'm thinking its due to the high magnesium content of it all (the greens of cocoa) and as a result i feel like that's all i want now. Green smoothies. It just made me feel soo good. So tomorrow, I decided Im going to go to the store and buy lots of spinach, other random greens, herbs, lower sugar fruits, etc and go green smoothie crazy for the next week. I dont feel ready or desirous to do fasts or anything but this feels awesome to me. Im excited.
So, anyone else do anything similar? Want to share your experiences?
