I'm going to my first raw potluck today- and i just found out about it this morning.. it's RIGHT after work,i do have a one hour lunch.. OH MY I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO BRING! there's a small health food store by work and i could have a chance to run to a friend's house to use her food processor.. I"m in panic!
Perhaps i should just buy some nuts, dried fruit and make some kind of a "larabar" out of them!? yikes! any help would be great :)

How about making a chocolate dipping sauce and strawberries?
coconut oil (optional imo)

Thanks. Great idea.
Don't panic. No food processor needed for my quick dish. Give yourself 30-60 seconds and it's done! This is one of the beauties of raw--can be as simple or complex as we want (gourmet). For me most times simple.
Here you go and enjoy:
One minute Salad
spring greens + any other veggies you have such as tomatoes/cukes. Perhaps avo., maybe pinch olive oil, pinch salt, fresh dill. Or you can just go spring greens. This should do it!
Plain and simple.
There will be gourmet dishes so go plain, quick and enjoy.
Keep it easy -- just do a pate and have something like lettuce/collards to wrap it in! Do you have Alissa's mock salmon pate recipe? You should be able to get that with no struggle.
Or if you have nori rolls and are quick with them, put some shredded veggies and avocado, along with some herbamare on top.

thank you all for suggestions!! i wish i could make it home to get all my veggies but today i'm working in a different town
a friend of mine who's going to the potluck- she has all these peaches.. and said we could make a peach pie! so i could run there for lunch and make the crust- she'll do the rest :) SO NOW i'm thinking- omg WHICH CRUST DO I CHOOSE? haha of course i could always do almond+dates.. but i'm thinking - is there something more interesting i can use?

Almonds / dates great combo. Keep it simple! Enjoy! Lucky you for her making the rest of the pie. Crush should be quick if you have food processor which I use. Press it all in. Put into your pie pan. Done! Come back tomorrow with report of all the dishes they had. Here in CO we are very active and so rawlucks are always happening or something relevant to raw: Durian Party coming up. We find excuses to RAWLY unite--birthdays, etc!

The pie looks delish. Wish I had a taste before it all gotten eaten up. Keep going to the rawlucks. They are fun and our community here in Boulder, CO wanted another rawluck so this weekend we have another one planned. This will be our 3rd one for the month, in addition to a Durian Party, then another raw lunch gathering.
Glad dish and gathering turned out great and now you know you don't have to panic any more with raw!

You can make a raw chocolate mylk for the drink. Just measure one cup almond mylk, two scoops chocolate powder and sweetner to taste.
I don't know if this was mentioned, but you can pit some dates and stick a pecan or walnut in the center for an instant pecan pie!!! Have fun!
