I've been eating seed mylk, coconut water, fresh coconut, and avocados. I've been making 1-2 quarts of green smoothies and eating 2 TBS of Goji Bliss/day. The fat was literally MELTING off. I would go to bed and wake up 1-2 lbs lighter. I would wake up and my abdomen would feel different. Oh I was losing all the weight from my UPPER abdomen where I am usu very round. Everyone in my family is shaped like an extra Large Braeburn walking on chopsticks.

Yesterday I didn't make a smoothie. I drank water, ate goji, inca, and cacao trail mix (1/4c), and had AC's broccoli and cheese for dinner. It has pine nuts, macadamias, and sunflower seeds. I ate a small portion of that, along with a small cuke and tom salad with ACV and EVOO, and a few bites of melon. I woke up TWO POUNDS heavier and I didn't have that certain sensation in my middle like I was melting the fat....

I don't know what to make of it. I don't know enough about the particular powers of specific foods, but I do know that I am going back to what I was doing.
For the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I was a pear shape for a few days. Today I am back to an apple.

what gives?

For me, personally, everything shows in my middle. I'm only 4'9" and if I'm not digesting right...it shows. Holy cow...everything shows. :p But I think what we have to understand is that these are bodies to LIVE in! :D There are going to be days because of external influences, water intake...food choices we will bloat a bit. If you don't feel good after what you ate yesterday...eliminate what you feel might be the offenders so that you don't have this feeling again.
My body's appearance can't be all there is to living. Live and enjoy this body that was given to you, whatever shape it is in today. Eat raw and know that over time it will become a beautiful flower. BUT all flowers are not the same. As gorgeous as a rose is...it can never be a delicate orchid...or flowing lily. Find beauty in this body God graced you with. two extra pounds or not!
You are beautiful! (((HUGS))):)

Thank you sister. I hope my post didn't sound too vain. It's just that even when I was 115 I still had a roundish shape directly under my breasts, iykwim? I think there may be *something* in the coconut that is melting that more dangerous type of fat that sticks to your middle or something in the nuts that adds to it? I don't seem to be affected by SEEDS, in the same way as I do NUTS...is that possible?

Does anyone know the bio-difference between SEEDS and NUTS and if COCONUT has SPECIFIC fat melting magic powers?

Actually, no. I think in a beauty focused world, woman are sort of encouraged to be a bit more focused...my honest opinion...sorry if that offends anyone. But buying into all the hype doesn't help us. I think you are just trying to find what works. ;)
There is a book on coconut oil...The Coconut Oil Miracle, it might answer some of your questions on this subject.
A lot of people mention complaints from nuts. However, I do not have this issue with them. I do not sit well with sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds...which is a bit different from most.
You can sort of just tell because they cause me to get stomach aches...heartburn...and I burp. :o The next day I have a hard time eating due to the bloating discomfort. None of which I prefer to experience again. So, I omit these offenders. Wish I had more to offer on the subject. Good luck!

Coconut oil can help shed fat around your middle. Perhaps the meat itself will do the same?

We all have those days sometimes! Totally unrelated to the food (assuming I am eating 100% raw), I have the light and free days when I mentally feel light and free. I can be eating like a pig, eating lots of fattening stuff -- but the way I feel can affect my posture and my release around the middle.

What I mean by release around the middle -- is, you know -- bowel movements. I am NEVER really constipated on raw (because you just can't call going "only" once in a day constipated), but I find that if I am having a difficult time emotionally and holding something in rather than feeling/resolving it... then I am not ready to release. As soon as I feel some resolve and feel light and happy about the problem, I go straight to the commode! :o

My point is that it's not always the food. Unless you're not eating raw (which I know we're not talking about here, so it's not about YOU), then it's probably the food!

Interesting Eva - I have noticed the same thing, in regards to bowel movements and emotions.

I too lost more during a week or so where I consumed mostly avocado, coconut oil along with mostly veggies (esp. cabbage) but then one day I threw some nuts in the mix and UGH! I do not handle nuts well at all, which sucks because I love all the raw desserts and they don't taste the same made with sunflower seeds.

I do know there's a thread on here where everyone was noticing more weight loss with coconut oil and it does work, and I do know some people cannot digest nuts. I say stick with what was working. I plan on going back to what I was eating, except I'm gonna have to lose the avocado's, those things are currently over $2 each where I live. :(
