I have been buying almonds and pine nuts at Costco because the package actually says "raw" on these two items.

Now they also sell walnuts and pecans but the package does not say raw... does anyone know if they are raw or not? I know others have mentioned here that they buy their nuts at Costco so maybe someone knows something I don't about the walnuts and pecans!

And I do realize their nuts are not organic, but for now my budget determines where I can buy them and Costco does have the best price that I know of!

Thank you!

They may be not be raw -however, for me, I shop where I get the best bargin right now because of the $$$ amount.

Just to let you know

I buy my walnuts, pecans, almonds and pinenuts at Costco, never had a challenge, loosing tons of weight, feel great, and the other raw foodists I know buy them there too.

If this helps.

Thank you both very much for responding!

I thought you'd mentioned before Rawpriestess that you buy your nuts at Costco so I am glad to hear from you and that other raw foodists you know also buy their nuts there.

I will continue to do so and will include the walnuts and pecans now too! Thank you!

I don't know that I've ever seen walnuts labeled as being roasted, so I suspect that they're pretty much always raw when sold alone.
