KAryn's is GREAT! me and my bulgarian friend, when in Chicago on cold winter weekends... would LOOOVE to eat there in the buffet section :D wewould be SO HIGH after all that live food, really! so much energy...

I always want to go eat there and meetup with some raw foodists :D

I haven't taken the detox class.. bet it's wonderful- but since i'm in Indiana i don't really want to take the train back and forth. I might move to another city - from where the train goes straight to Chicago (from Goshen i need to also drive 45 min. to the train) and the detox class would be very possible :D

P.S. GoingtoRAW have you tried Cousin's Incredible Vitality?? I LOVED it as well!

I haven't tried Cousin's. I've heard great things about it though. I do want to try it but Karyn's is not far from my job - so easier to get to. How does it compare to Karyn's?:)

well, from the experience i had- Karyn's buffet is MUCH better but i actually liked my dinner better at Cousin's..i went with my boyfriend and a friend (both non-raw) and we had a wonderful spot (sat on the floor with a low table bight by the big window) i was so pleasantly surprised when they brought us dehydrated eggplant "bacon" and flax crackers (appetizers, for free) and our food was well-priced and marvellous!

i have pictures!! HERE http://www.freewebs.com/riiiya/journal.htm?blogentryid=3338594
when i went to Karyn's for the actual dinner the night before with my boyfriend.. we spent a bit more and we didn't get as full.. but the buffet at karyns- mmmmmmmm

HI,

I'm north of Chicago. I have vowed to get to Karyn's and Cousin's before the end of the year. I am going to drag my SAD loving hubby along and maybe one or two of my children (the third is away at college.) I know I can get them downtown for a bulls game! Go Derek Rose!

Nice to know that some raw foodists are in the Chicago area. I would like to get to know some raw foodists. It is tough doing this alone.

I had a mediocre experience with Karyn's Buffet and Cousins. Some of Karyn's food was rather salty. I did like a few things though.

Imani, tell me more about these raw boxes from Cousins.
