I made this:
Soaked walnuts about 1/4 cup
Three nice size bananas sliced not too thinly
1'2 cup fresh orange juice
Chop your walnut coarse like
Put in medium bowl, add slice bananas and the OJ and sweetener of you choice.
You may add a little vanilla if you like.
It is yummy, a real nice wake up cereal for the morning our anytime of day.
I'm eating mine at 4:58 pm.
What types of cereal have you all come up with?

It really does sound delicious....I've done similar things but never thought about the orange juice. Thanks!

The OJ gives the cereal a tang and it is so good.
I love drinking OJ but this way is great:D

Oh, that sounds yummy!! I usually squeeze oj over my fruit salads, i.e....diced mango, sliced banana, grapes, diced dates, chopped walnuts, and oj. sometimes I sprinkle a little coconut on top. For cereal I usually do sliced strawberries and bananas, chopped almonds in almond milk.

I found "Lydia's Grainless Cereal" at Whole Foods. (Lydia's is a raw product line.) If I had a dehydrator I would try making my own. Can't look up the ingredients because I'm out of it right now. :( It was mostly bits of dried apples, nuts and sunflower seeds that had been soaked and dried. Think it had been sweetened with honey or agave and flavored with cinnamon. I love it with almond or hazelnut milk, and fresh fruit, especially bananas, peaches, or berries. Or all three.
Sprouted, dehydrated buckwheat with almond milk. Pretty plain, but it works. Back in the day, I had grape nuts and soy milk, so I'm not trying to replace lucky charms or anything really crazy if I want cereal! haha.

I tried:
Walnuts
Sunflower Seeds
Raisins
Dates
Chopped fresh apple
(You could use other dried fruits such as prunes or other fresh fruit like banana)
I started doing this last week when I read the ingredients of a raw cereal online and I thought why would I order this when I can make it myself? I use homemade almond milk on it. Delish!!
