Hello guys,

I finally got my Vita-Mix, on e-bay, but the seller didn't specified the pitcher was the one with blades "dry" (to make flour, coffee grinder, etc.)

My question is, as I wanted the VM with the regular wet blade (but the announcement was not clear in e-bay :( ), could I use the "dry" one to make all those green juices, tahini, almond milks, etc. as with the wet blade??

Otherwise I have to buy another pitcher... hope this time the seller is clear...

Thanks, any info will be welcome!!

I believe you can use it to make anything.

I'm so glad you asked that question, i was a little too slow in my timing:D
My blade broke on my wet jar and i'm been afraid to use the dry jar for making soup and etc.
Now i can use that instead of putting my vita-mixer on the shelf until i can afford to purchase another wet jar for it.

There are many websites that will tell you the 2 different containers are more a money making thing, than a necessity, and that both the wet and dry containers do the same thing.

Hello,

could you please tell me which webs have you read that?
I can't find it with google...

I just hope I don't break the VM using the dry blade for everything...

Thanks for your answers!!

There's a number for the customer service department, parts and service.
I asked if i could use the dry blade for things that the wet blade are used to make and i was told that yes, i could.
But the dry blade will not work as well as the wet blade would but it can be use for soups, salad, sobets and such.
I'm going to order another wet blade assembly later on to replace my broken one, she said it would be $90.00 w/ shipping.
