tamari/nama shoyu

some recipes call for one or the other of these. what exactly are they and where can i find them

They are soy sauces. I doubt you'll find many raw food recipes calling for tamari. Most call for Nama Shoyu which is considered raw.

You can find tamari at most health food stores and Asian grocery stores. Nama Shoyu is a bit more difficult. For more information on this go up to the 'nana and search it out. Been discussed here in depth more than a few times. :)
