Noooo bit out of my price range!! I am hoping to attend someday though!

I am a gratuate of Alissa Cohens' Living on Live Foods classes. I am a Certified Chef and Teacher. I do occassional classes all over the Big Island ... but primarily in my home town of Honoka'a (north eastern part of the Hamakua Coast)... near Waipio Valley.

I love Maui... what an amazing and vibrant Island! Great to see you here on RFT!!

I too love Maui. I remember a rockin church there. It's an Assembly of God that used to the be roller rink. I bet you know it. I don't remember it's name.

I ate years back at Raw Experience. My friend Steve Philips now works at Down to Earth in Maui now. Think Anna his wife is doing raw cooking classes there. They came from Boulder, CO area. I lead the raw group in Boulder for years for rawlucks. Visit, let me know you are coming and we can probably find you a place to stay, but for sure plan a rawluck around your time.

There is also a guy, not sure if he is still in Maui, that does hikes and raw: Doug Walsh. I see on the Big Island Whole Foods just opened. One of the managers locally transferred there.

Starfire, come along!

welcome! i look forward to learning from your experiences. i'm currently doing a 20 week fast... longest fast before that was 45 days.

i am fasting on fruit juices so watermelon is a staple of mine right now... so yummy. the sugars don't bother me at all. green juices turn my stomach so i know my body isn't calling for them... but who knows what tomorrow will bring - just going with the flow.

again... WELCOME!!!

that is sooo true! It's good to hear an experienced faster say that! The more I fast -- the more I love fasting and the happier my body seems to be and the more I don't want to stop!!

so true...

Starfire,
For you:

Whole Foods, Honolulu
4211 Waialea Avenue Ste T1
Honolulu, Hawaii 96816

Phone: 808.738.0820

We have tons of them here in CO and super pricey to the max. Actually Sunflower Market(s) is here and now Sprouts is coming in so Whole Foods is going to be hit hard near my house with all these stores within a few miles so people will truly have a happy shopping experience with cheaper pricing than WF is able to offer; however WF does have most things so sometimes have to pay the price.

Come visit here and we will run to many WF together. We've got tons of them close by.

Welcome Ed and thanks for your perspectives on fasting. I tend to agree with drinking only green juices...it works well with my body anyway. Wow, 100 days?! Was that primarily green juices or did you combine that with water fasting etc? I only began fasting last year and I've completed about 5 or 6 different juice and water fasts. I've lost count, but I know that each time I complete one I feel extraordinarily well and it seems my health just builds on each experience. I'm a faster for life now. :D

Take care,
Crystal
