Is there a recipe anywhere that does not use epsom salts ? Can anyone be of any service ?

The kidney-liver flush recipe I used to use in my pre-raw days was a warm (not boiling hot) tonic of
8 oz warmed pure water
juice from half a lemon
1 or 2 TBSN olive oil
honey (could do agave)

I would take it upon rising on an empty stomach...

I do Jon Barron's colon and liver cleanse. Go to www.jonbarron.org and click on Detox.

how about simply adding in some good juices for your liver and allowing it to flush gently? that may not be the option you want to follow but if you do here's some suggestions:

*from jeremy safron's book - dining from an empty bowl*

the liver is cleansed by removing all high-gycemic index foods and heavy toxins such as alcohol, smoke, chemicals and oils. a juice fast on panini juice or a fast on watermelon juice including the rind can be helpful. dandelion greens and parsley are also beneficial to the liver.

if you are into enemas... a coffee or wheatgrass enema can help.

drinking coconut water will give the liver the ability to clean the blood faster and easier.

Are you shying away from epsom salts due to the taste? If so, just wanted to mention that you can put the epsom salts into capsule with the same result. Just take them with warm water to speed up dissovling the caps.

Ive never actually tasted it, so I suppose im being hypocritical.

I checked the ebay prices of epsom slats and its amazingly cheap !

950 grams for about 3 pounds

What does it taste like anyway ?

Yes, all epsom salt is the same.
I recommend eating only organic apples for 3 days (and no other food, water is okay). Then, on the morning of the 4th day, drink 2 tbs. olive oil mixed with 2 tbs. citrus juice. This gets as many gallstones out for me as the liver cleanse w/ epsom salts. I do it in the fall, when apples are in season.

So that gets the stones out, without epsom salts ??
