Hi~

Well, it's been 11 days all raw, except for my one cup of yerba mate in the morning. I am sleeping so incredibly much. I have been through incredible amounts of stress this past year, 2 rounds of steroids, which were an awful, vicious cycle of symptoms and side-effects, a big dose of antibiotic, plus the usual processed food nightmare--although it was vegan, it was lots of soy, sugar and wheat, etc. I am fortunately in a position now b/c of my work schedule to be able to sleep until I awaken, so I'm just letting myself sleep. I'm enjoying my food, and I know I'm eating plenty, so this must be a detox and my body "letting go" of soooooo much stuff...I'm feeling exhausted on a very deep level.

Any other newly raw marathon sleepers out there?

i know when my body is in healing mode i sleep a LOT. sounds like your body is healing on a deep level.

be gentle and kind to your body during this time... it needs lots of love (((hugs)))

remember to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how much you love and care for your body... ...cherish YOU!

I almost always hit this on day 4. I slept and slept this morning, myself. :p Last few days of summer vacation and then it's up with the alarm for me. Tomorrow is day 4 of 100% and I'm feeling very sleepy too! (And emotional.)

Back in May when I went 100% raw, I took two weeks of vacation - spread out over four weeks (half day vacation each day). I only had to work four hours a day at my company for almost the entire month.

I used all that time to settle into my raw lifestyle and deal with any detox symptoms that might appear.

For about five weeks, I felt like I was on antidepressants, kind of a mellow, didn't care about anything, vegged out watching TV, lying on the couch a lot. Then it passed, and I felt back to normal. Normal being the way I felt before I went raw. Not better, just back to normal.

Me, too.
When I am doing 100 percent, I sleep alot for the first few weeks for some reason. Like I'll start eating 100 percent raw, then feel sleepy and low key for a few weeks or so then I'll have alot of energy again IF I stay raw through it all. When I go back to cooked, the cycle starts all over again. So it's just best to sleep it off, like a cat, lol. that was cute. If I were to be an animal, I would be a cat:cool: !!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'm actually up this morning at 9, which is an hour or so earlier than my recent norm. :) Maybe it's passing?

I looooove the cat cartoon! I def. like the cattitude and having a slinky cat-like body wouldn't be so bad, either! :D
