View Full Version : Hi from the UK
Hi to all. I have been 100% raw for just over 2 weeks and my results have been spectacular. I have lost 20lb and noticed my skin feeling softer and looking more radiant. I also have an abudance of energy that I never had before.
I am finding it hard to be creative and am mostly eating salads, fruit and nuts due to being busy studying. It might be simple but it is having an amazing effect.
I have alissa's book and cd and have bought a dehydrator which I hope to use when I have more time to check recipes out.
I keep having moments of doubt about whether this way of eating is sustainable at 100%. However the amazing changes which have occured in such a short space of time keeps me on track.
I have been inspired and motivated by you people on here that I thought I would join in with you.
best wishes
Cat

Good luck staying raw!
It helps me knowing some different and varied raw recipes that include foods I really enjoy. I have about 10 raw recipe books (including Alissa's) that I pull recipes from. This site offers a lot of recipes and when I started out, I checked out raw books from the library to see which ones I liked.

Your off to a great start! You've got the right motivation and attitude! Don't worry about sustainability. The proof is in the pudding...preferably cacao or coconut creme pudding.

Wow, that's awesome! Two weeks raw! What a great start! It's probably actually really good for you, that you are not preparing dense recipes! Easier on your digestion!
Plus there are lots of recipes out there, that are not very time consuming, and still will give you great variety. :)

You mentioned finding time to make some of the recipes.....if you watch the DVD you'll be amazed at how little time some of the recipes really take. Some are as fast as making a green smoothie....blend and put into a container. It's great to have you here.
