Hi gang,
Just wanted to note that while I have been away from the board for a while. I have not been away from raw. I have been enjoying eating a 100% raw food lifestyle since shortly before Christmas last year, it was a real dedication to myself.
Could I go raw in Michigan winter instead of spring as I had every other time? Could I go raw right before the most major food holiday?
and more importantly, could I stick with raw for more than 4.5 months?
Well nine months later the answer to all of those questions is a resounding yes.
YES I CAN!
YES I HAVE!
I have shed over 50 pounds in that time, people who had not seen me since the transformation were completely stunned.
Not only that, oddly enough women who are perfect strangers walk up to me on the street and tell me that i am beautiful and that i am positively glowing!
Wow, what a lotta raw can do!!
What an ego booster for a gal!!:p :D
But it has been great. And i have to say that I could not have made it this far this long without the support of my 7 year old who told me last year "mommy if you eat raw again, I'll try it with you!" and my lovely husband who lovingly prepare almost all of my raw foods, even though he is not raw.
My little one sometimes comes up to me and says "Yea, I can wrap my arms around you!" She is so proud that she can almost clasp her opposite elbows when hugging me. She remembers before, she couldn't even clasp her fingers. Raw food is amazing.
I was a size 18, now i am hovering between a 12 and 10.
14's are just baggy and really loose, in the legs and the waist.
The issue is this. I can fit in to 10's and 12's. But both can be skin tight depending on the brand, there are some 12's that are lose on me.
I am what some would call "thick". I have always had large thighs and breasts. Raw has taken my cup size down from a tripple D to a double D, and by back from a 42 to a 36. Wow, I really lost that many inches???
I only realized it while typing.
