I bought Steve Ross "Happy Yoga 7 Reasons Why There is Nothing to Worry About". He is the yoga instructor from the show Inhale on Oxygen. Anyway, I am reading it and he has been a raw foodist for like 30 years. It is a great read imo (doesn't concentrate on raw foods - just being happy with yourself as you are etc). Just wanted to share!

Wanted to add that he does have a chapter on raw food and food in general.

Remember Bob Ross and his Happy Painting? This guy's name/book name make me think of that. I bet he named it that way on purpose. Clever. Loved Bob Ross.

Is this an idea book or is there yoga in it?

I'll have to check that out! I've become a major yoga fan in the last few years. I do a stress-relieving type of yoga DVD almost every day. Some days, it's the only thing that keeps me sane :D.

It is both actually. He has a chapter on a certain thing and ends it with yoga poses. I have been watching his show on Oxygen on and off for the past 10 years (gives me a really good workout and I feel so happy afterwards!) and was looking online to see if he has a dvd out yet and found that book. I recommend it - unfortunately I am at work reading it and there are some guys on my floor yelling and whooping about the sports program they have on the radio so I cant concentrate on it very well.

Makes sence :)
I also got really interested in yoga several months ago..and now got into the whole energy healing field.. and as i read about it online, they mention the parana-life energy- being mostly concentrated in raw vegetables, fruits, sprouts :)

(i posted about it in this forum- Raw food and Energy Healing)

I watch it all the time, one day I will try to do something. I think its a Wonderful show and I love the Music, most people think yoga has all the weird music and chanting. You know you can tape the shows.....Thanks for Sharing..I plan to look for his Book.

I agree -- Steve Ross's music is half of what keeps me coming back... I love the rockin' mood! The other half that has me doing his "class" a few times a week is that it's a really good workout. I feel like I'm getting the strength training that I want and the stretching and breathing that I need!

Does anyone know if he has a DVD? I haven't been able to find one and I hate having to break the workout for commercials. I wish he would give exercises to do during that time. When I fast forward I feel like I'm getting cheated out of workout time.

Yes, yes. What a bummer that he's not around anymore. :( We'll have to switch to happy little yoga poses! ;)
