I live in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area, and I cannot find Nama Shoyu. Yesterday, at Sprout's Farmers Market I bought the above named brand of Shoyu. It reads naturally brewed? Is this product comparable to the Nama Shoyu...thanks...

No, it's not. Nama is raw (supposedly), brewed is well, brewed ~ cooked. You may have to order it. It can be difficult to find even here.

I bought something called Eden Shoyu. It had the exact same ingredients and label that Nama Shoyu had. If you go to Alissa's website and go to where she sells the food products, you can click on the Nama Shoyu and see if it is comparable. As far as I know Nama is the brand.

nama is not a brand -it MEANS raw ,shoyu is "soy sauce" ,so plain shoyu is NOT raw ,but imo , its such a small amount ,it doesnt bother me ......

The little fairy is correct ~ Nama is NOT the brand. Ohsawa is the only brand I've found to be raw. For her, it may be a "small" amount yet, if used in a lot of recipes it can become quite a large amount (relatively). Many here are even questioning the use of Nama as it's not totally raw yet, it's not brewed after the original preparation of the soy beans.
