I went to my local market for basil and a garlic braid and saw enormous bins of 60 lbs of tomatoes for $14! I bought and and will dehydrate them for the winter, I've never seen so many tomatoes before, or so cheap! I may buy a 2nd one if I can dehydrate them all in time, even in my 9 tray dehydrator it will take many many batches to dehydrate all that.

When I find a good deal on some produce I step up my juicing and use the ripest first. For Tomatos I use my Champion juicer with the big holes screen and it comes out thick like a watered down pudding. Its very delicious. I also really like Tomato / Apple juice

Actually I rarely make salsa but did make some 1-2 days ago. Over 95% of the tomatoes will be dehydrated, I barely have any left to dehydrate and will buy another 60 lbs box in 1-2 days also to dehydrate (there's nothing else I could do with so many tomatoes). I normally pay $1.50 per organic tomato so even though these aren't organic and probably loaded with carcinogens I'm getting them anyway cause I'm tight on cash these days and this like like 5 cents per tomato!

Wow! Enjoy the tomato goodness!
At my college we have an organic, sustainable garden, and yesterday I helped pick over 20 pounds of organic heirloom tomatoes from the garden. Good food :D !
I'm just now starting to really get "into" tomatos...they are SOOO GOOD!
