I ate waaaaaayyyyy too many nuts last night and now my belly's not feeling so good... It's one of those days when i would normally get myself a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup... tried just having juice thinking it would help but I'm feeling the need for something "soothing"... any suggestions? (and something that isn't going to require waiting for sprouting or dehydrating for 12 hours)...

my belly thanks you in advance!

Awwwww.. how about grating some ginger, then squeezing out the juice into a little warm water?

Also, rub your belly, close your eyes and project loving energy into your abdomen.

And......do some Chinese pendulum arm swinging. Raise your arms back, let them swing forward with their own momentum and keep doing this for a count of one to two hundred times. You might be surprized at how much this Qi-Gong exercise can impact your digestion.

No! just stand in the middle of your office and do it. Better yet, climb up on your desk! Be a holistic leader :p

Ha! They already keep trying to shove hamburgers down my throat! While I was happily eating fruit and nuts last night during a very long and very stressful evening, they were all eating fried chicken and candy and looked at me like I had horns.

I'm trying hard to be a good influence, but as we all know, they have to want to receive it!

What do you do for work?

I work for a 24 hour local news network, and, among other things, oversee our political coverage. Our state primary election was last night so it was one of those looong stressful nights with junk food galore!

Peppermint tea is often good for soothing the stomach.

If the ginger infusion or the peppermint tea don't help, try some ACV in water. It will help speed up the digestion. I find that nuts quite often stay in my stomach for hours and hours, longer sometimes than a steak would.

nothing is best, let it run through you. water is next. an apple is a good one but careful of poor food combining as that can cause more upset!
ginger, fennel, mint teas are all soothing to an upset tummy.

feel better!

I second the thought of an apple, it is what I naturally grab for when my tummy is complaining! Hope you feel better soon!

Yiks, I know how you feel. I felt like that last week when I had way to many flaxcrackers. It took me two days to get over that LOL
But Water water water............, then juicy friuts and maby soups (no nuts or avokados). About half a day of this and I was feeling much better. But rest and water two main ingrediense :) I hope you feel better soon :-)
