To all of you who have posted recipes for the rest of us to try, "Thank You So Much!!!" I have been continually inspired by so many of you. I finally got busy and made flax crackers and I knew just where to look for the recipe. Right here!
They turned out fabulous and I can't wait for my husband to try them with some cashew cheese dip. He will be sooooo impressed!
So, my way of thanking you all properly is to share something I just tried today also. You probably have this but for those who don't, here is one of my favorite breakfast treats:
1/2 fresh cut up apple
Sunflower Seeds
Walnuts, chopped
Raisins
1 Date chopped up
Almonds, chopped
Almond milk
This is my "rawnola" or raw granola. I read the ingredients on a web-site that was selling this product and I thought I'd try it, only I used fresh apple instead of dried. It was unbelievably good. Instant breakfast!
Also this version of "Donut Holes" I took a recipe and substituted what I wanted in it. Everyone loves them so you might want to double the recipe.
3 Cups Coconut
1 Cup soaked dates ( save the water & use as needed to make the ingredients stick together)
3 Tablespoons Almond Butter or other nut Butter
2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
2 tsp Vanilla or Vanilla Bean(Not sure how much of the bean you would use. Those of you who use VB would probably know)
Pinch Sea Salt
Using a food processor, pulse until dough forms. Use about 1 1/2 tablespoon for each donut hole. Dehydrate if you like for about 2-3 hours. They will still be moist. These can actually be eaten without dehydrating, but I prefer them dried a little.
If you already have these recipes, I hope you will pass them on.
