It depends on how many things you are detoxing from, your original state of health, what you are detoxing from and what you are using to detox with! How's THAT for an answer that helps!!!

I finally quit coffee and for several days I had a helmet head - the feeling that I was wearing a tight helmet - pressure all around. Then it was a headache on one side of my head or another, or between the eyes. I read that caffeine withdrawels take most people two or three days. My headache lasted a week. Just going raw without quitting coffee I had a headache for two days (along with diarrhea and other symptoms). I've heard other people say no headache, but they had pimples, a rumbly stomach, felt like they had the flu... it affects everyone differently because there are so many factors involved.

Just know your headache is the manifestation of your letting something bad go.

You may need to do some bowel cleansing Sherilynn.

I am of the mind that we are EVER-detoxing...our earth, our air, our water and our food is not pure so we take in stuff every single day that our bodies have to work to get rid of. So I don't feel that detox ever really ends. I think that detox from our previous cooked food lifestyle (or other things such as meds, drugs, alcohol, etc.) may have an end at some point but it varies from person-to-person.

But again, sometimes if our normal channels of elimination are not functioning in tip-top condition, we end up with break-outs, headaches, etc. But it may also be from something else (some may say certain deficiencies cause headaches) but I almost always chalk it up to some kind of detoxification or perhaps stress as this can contribute as well.

That helps thanks. My diet was sadder then sad..... really sad!

Joined Weight Watchers which required 5 fruits or veggies a day and people started saying I looked healthier.

Anyway forgot to add besides the headaches and being tired I'm feeling a little bit of heart palpitations. Slipped yesterday big time had diet coke and McDonalds and felt better. That tells me its Detox and today is another day.

Every BODY is different. One can't say. I personally think it lasts a lifetime because we are always consuming things (air, water, etc.) that is toxic.

HEART PALPITATIONS ALMOST ALWAYS INDICATE A SERIOUS MINERAL DEFICIENCY, WHICH MCDONALD'S WON'T HELP! McD's is just giving you a blood sugar rush, which makes you feel temporarily better. Fast food has the WRONG KIND OF SALT, a processed sodium chloride, which leaches minerals from the bones and makes your body more acidic. I'm not a doctor, but I suggest more dark leafy greens and seaweed, especially kelp and dulse flakes, which are tasty and easy to add to salads and other foods.

Another thing that will cause heart palpitations is messed up female hormones, especially too high estrogen and too low progesterone. There's an over the counter progesterone cream that is supposed to help with this, although I haven't tried it.

i second what Rawkinlocs said, and add that before raw heart palipitations were a REGULAR part of my life. I think you spelled out your answer: the crap in diet coke and mcd's is PRECISELY what you were detoxing from (it always gets worse, so bad, as it's releasing from your system) given that it stopped symptoms when you ate them again. mind over matter: it's only really bad as it's leaving, once it's gone...you won't think of them again. take it from me, a former bad sad mc'd potato chip loving eater!

blessings for amazing health...you can do it!

Thank you everybody!

Feeling a little bit better today. I think its because I decided to just eat anything raw. For instance instead of green smoothie I made a bannana strawberry smoothie this morning before I went out. Passed McDonalds with no problem because I don't feel deprived. Had a treat today better then their strawberry shakes.

Thanks again.

It's amazing how much meditation will help us over these trying times too.
