hi everyone. i love the idea of raw living. i have been reading lots of threads on here, and i am totally confused. some of the ingredients i have never heard of; i dont know exactly whats considered raw and whats not. just lots of questions. are there any websites that fully cover all newbie questions or a list of books that i should get? i really want to start this!

Hello and welcome to the forum!
You can do a search ( the search button up top with the peeled banana), type in any of the things you dont know and lots will come up. YOu can also ask any questions you have in the appropriate categories. Lots of people will be happy to answer.
A great book to begin with is Alissa's book, Living on LIve Food. It explains just about everything, and includes shopping lists etc.
Very best wishes to you as you explore~ :)

yes - different people have different ideas and theories on raw foods and what you can cannot eat.
I read a bunch of books and found that my body needs something slightly modified from a lot fo the books. Educating myself was the first step - then listening to my body.
Alissas book and DVD I recommend.

Hope that helps. Lots of new folks ask questions and there are many people who have lots of time doing this raw thing that can help you out.
welcome!

Welcome!!
I second and third the above. The books they recommended are a great place to start.
Enjoy the process of learning and discovering what this way of life can do for you!

hi, i'm new to raw also, and probably have no business giving advice. but listening to your body is great advice. start by eating lots of fruits and veggies. for some of the strange ingredients, try your health food store, or a store such as whole foods. be careful at whole foods because the samples are good, but not all raw. i have thrown out a lot of stuff out in my experiments, but i have also found some really tasty ideas. my favorites so far are any thing with avocado, marinated greens. veggies, lettuceless salads and banana ice cream. best of luck to you. keep asking questions. this is a fantastic website for questions and support. terri :)

Everyone defines raw in their own way. But we'll help out as much as we can so you can find your place.
