Hi,
I'm hoping to become pregnant within the next few months and I was wondering if there were any raw foods/drinks that I should avoid while trying to become preganant and in the first few months.
Also, is there any harm in beginning a raw food lifestyle right before becoming pregnant? I'm thinking about detox harming the process.
Thanks!

cayenne
raw honey ( I think...it's been 5 years since i was last pg...that one might just be for babies)
burdock root
The best book I have read on it was The Child Bearing Year by Susun S. Weed. My cousin studied with her and thinks she is a genius.

She tells you what increases your fertility and what may inhibit or lower your chances of conception.
honey is fine for a mama (if you eat that animal product), it's not safe for babies because of the risk of botulism.
there is really nothing that will interfere with or harm a pregnancy aside from the obvious, drugs, caffeine, tobacco etc. so long as it is healthful, it's good for you at any time. there are certainly things that you can eat and do to encourage fertility and a good pregnancy. susun weed's book is excellent and there are a couple by jeanine parvati baker that i particularly liked.
good luck!
