My calories needs are a major thing now that I have been hitting the gym for a month. I am trying to squeeze in all my calories from raw food without having to eat fat. I know fats are essential but I am skipping out on fats for a week and just eating enough raw food to get my calories and to expend them at the gym. My calorie needs are at least 1500-2000 how do I get that from raw food without the fats? Impossible?
It's an experiment I am doing since I noticed how I eat too much guacamole and maybe thats why I am not losing weight. After that week I'll eat an avacado.
Also is it bad to eat nothing but raw food all day? Just constantly eat it to gain calories?
I mostly eat carrots, peaches, plums, grapefruit, apples, bananas, cucumber, melon, spinach, raw corn, and thats about it. I know thats boring but what if I were to eat these foods everyday in large amounts instead of 6 meals a day is it bad? Will I lose some extra weight? I have all these questions.
And a side note here: I lift alot and I need protein, I have been eating soy protein from the soy meats and I don't want to eat it any longer I want pure natural food to help me build muscle too and tone up.

focus on high calorie fruits to get your calories from bananas, mangos, durian ect. but make sure to get LOTS of greens, they have protien and minerals and also balance out the sugar in the fruit. You could also try hemp protien power if your worried about protien

You dont need 2000 kcal a day. Thats a lie. You need 1000 kcal a day. If you eat cooked food 1000 kcal are spend on digesting the food. I guess thats in principle true, but i dont know the exact data.
1000 kcal is enough, i think. Do someone think you need more? But you have to know about how less calories are in rawvegan food to answer this question^^?

I am just experimenting with the fats though. I love mono and poly fats from natural foods but I thik I am overdoing it on guacamole I eat it in huge amounts and that may be the reason why I cant lose weight. I just needed to know if I can just eat raw food all day in good amounts to get to a 1000 calories. I will start eating the fats after I am done with the experiment. I am trying to figure out what works with my body.

I would not cut all fats either. Your body needs fats. But I know when I was eating lots of avos and nuts, grazing on them constantly, I would not lose weight. It was way too much. I still eat them now, but they are limited, and now I lose weight.
What works for me (and everybody is different) is to eat non-fat breakfast and lunch, fill up on veggies and fruits until you are full. And then in the evening have your allotted fat. If you put 2 teaspoons of olive oil on your salad, that is 80 calories. And if you eat half and avo, that is about 150-200 calories. If you do that once a day, that's not that many calories in the grand scheme of 2000 per day and you will feel satisfied.
Also, I think if you listen to your body will tell you what is right for you. Personally, my body starts to scream about 4 p.m. for some fats every day, and if I don't pay attention to it and don't get some fats, then I start wanting to eat all kinds of crap. I think men are different, though. They can eat more calories and fats and lose weight easier.
Good luck!

To add up the calories you are eating, you can use www.CalorieKing.com. It's a hand tool to answer your question about what kinds of stuff you need to be eating to get enough calories.

Eat more bananas if you're looking for calories. Plus, they're great for workout recovery.
A medium sized banana (~7" long), according to NutritionData.com, is 105 calories. So 10 bananas is your 1000 calories. Not that you want to eat nothing but bananas all day everyday, but you get the idea.
If you're just eating greens, I can see how getting 2000 cals could be hard.
Edit: I just noticed that someone already said bananas. Sorry to repeat.

1000 calories does not sound healthy at all, in order to gain wait you have to eat over your maintenance calories.

i wouldn't worry about the calories. eat when you're hungry. people used to burn way more calories in a day just living than we do going to the gym and they didn't have calorie counters or time to worry about it.

Soy protein is the worst you can use if you're trying to lose weight, as soy is a goitrogen and suppresses the thyroid, which will make you tired and heavy. Best to use limited (soaked and dehydrated or blended) nuts and seeds, spouted lentils and buckwheat, dark leafy greens, corn, peas, and mushrooms instead.
