I've just been doing raw food for about a week now, I am struggling to find something with nuts to ensure I get fat into me and to feel like I'm not starving myself. I read a thread about someone who is hungry all the time eating raw but my question is more related to weight loss and does a raw diet have enough calories to maintain my weight, I'm already only 110lbs so I'm not looking to lose weight, just want to be healthy. I worry that I don't know the difference between feeling hungry and my body really needing food as I make the transition to raw foods. Any advice from others who were already their ideal weight switching to a raw diet?

Get Alissa's book and DVD....it's so great for answering all your questions, even questions you didn't realize you should have. This book and DVD really create a foundation for going raw in a healthy way. I do think it's important to have the information and knowledge you need. It really will prepare you to be successful. She does address the issue you mentioned....good luck!!!

Hi Aquarius77 -

I was a little below my ideal weight before going raw and have lost an additional 10 pounds. I have been trying to gain it back for about a year now (been 100% raw for a few years). I eat as much as I can...green smoothies, nuts, seeds, fruits, avocadoes, etc. Hard to get enough food in without feeling bloated. I think the diet is great for curing diseases and weight loss, but am still researching whether 100% is ideal for long-term health.
