View Full Version : Raw Dill Pickles - taste question

Okay, so I tried a recipe for raw dill pickles posted from a link by rawtruth (http://associate.com/groups/healthseeker/read/?00::068)......it calls for pickles to fill gallon jar, generous amount of dill and the 'brine' is 4c warm filtered water, 3 Tb celtic sea salt and 2 cups of raw apple cider vinegar.....they go 3 days but said they will be 'milder' if you try them if you can't wait after 24 hours.....so I tried them after 24 hours and to me they taste like my grandma's canned "bread and butter" pickles many years ago.....I put in ALOT of fresh dill but at least 24 hours out all I could taste was VINEGAR....will this change or should they taste that way? Does anyone have a better recipe with measurements that I could try if they should taste like say store bought midget dills??
