Hi I'm trying to do fat burning exercises right now, because I got plenty of muscle, it's just I got fat covering it up!
Last time that I got so trim and almost got a six pack doing this kind of exercise (tae-bo by billy blanks). See high cardio with some body weight exercises like pushups, squats, lunges & ect. Is what get's my body fat melting off! It's just after I do the exercises I can't keep my energy up, my body just feels so weak and tired. Then the next day I don't even hardley want to get out of bed.
I take two rest days and I'm sure I'm getting plenty of calories! Here's how I normally eat!

Morning 2 apples or nectarines

Lunch 4 bananas w/ 1 tbsp of raw almond butter

Snack 3 bananas w/ I tbsp of raw cashew butter

Supper 1 big salad w/ 4-6 c. romaine, 1/2 c. of chopped broccoli, 1/2 c. copped carrot, 1 green onion, 4 cherry tomatos, and a few tbsp of light italian salad dressing.

Through out the day I take a few tbsp of coconut oil for health and energy and my natural doctor has me taking 4 tbsp of flaxseed oil because my fat's were low! I don't take them all at the same time though, I space them out!

I exercise 1 hour 5 days a week and also do some walking in the evening for around 30 minutes.

I do switch the food up a bit with different fruit or vegetables, except the bananas because without them I wouldn't be able to keep going at all!

I don't have green smoothies or smoothies because they cause me to retain water weight and it makes me feel even worse!

Anyway does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance and have a fruitful evening!

Are you drinking enough water?
Are you getting enough variety in your eating?
Do you take MSM (for sore muscles)?
Do you get enough sleep at night?
How much do you weigh/what is your height?
How long have you been raw for?

If you are using bottled, nonraw light Italian dressing, I'd recommend using the flax oil as a dressing instead. Bottle salad dressing, particularly the diet/light versions, are full of nasty chemicals/preservatives.

Yes, I drink inleast 10-12 cups of water daily,

Yes, I do better by eating as close to mono as I can! Like only one fruit or two at a time, except for my salads!

I got MSM, but I never knew for sure if it was something I had to take and I didn't know much about it, so I was wanting to find more out about it before I started taking it!

I get enough sleep if I eat more carbs, but I'm afraid I'm eating too many calories. I'm trying to burn fat, not gain muscle! So if I eat only around 1700 calories then I have to force myself out of bed the next day!

I weight around 117lbs and my night is 5'5. Like I said though I do have good muscle in my upper arms, lower stomach, back, lower legs and upper legs. It's just I got fat covering them up!

I've been raw for about 8 years, I try to stay 100% raw, but when it comes to the salad dressings, I can't seem to enjoy any raw salad dressings unless I make them with olive oil or avocado ( I don't care for flaxseed on my salad). They taste too sour or I just don't like them. I don't want salad dressings with alot of fat every day because I already have enough fats already and they make me too tired. So about every 3-4 days is when I'll make my raw salad dressing with some fat. So on other days thats why I use that salad dressing, I know what's in it, but I also know it helps me keep watch of my fats and calories. Plus I can enjoy my salad!
I wish I could find a very low fat raw salad dressing that I would like that would keep for a few days and won't be hard to make!

Well I hope I explained everything well! Thanks!

Maybe low iron? There is another poster that started a thread on the Raw Foods Discussion board, talking about having low iron. Hope you are able to work it out.

Blessings,

It sounds as if you may not be getting enough protein.

I have been raw for nine months and i noticed that after about 11 am I started to feel sleepy all of a sudden. I started increasing the protein/fat in my smoothies and I noticed the difference.

Some people need large amounts of protein. I may be one of those people because the more I eat it the more satisfied I am, for longer periods of time, with no sleepiness.

I just started making a drink a friend told me about and it has a nice amount of protein:

Banilla hemp smoothie

1 small banana
water of 1 young coconut
3 TBS hemp seeds
1 1/2 tsp chia seeds
1 1/2 tsp matcha tea (optional)
agave to taste
1/4 tsp vanilla powder
1 1/2 tsp lucuma powder
