I used to be on a diet plan that required the tracking of daily fiber. I came accross one of my diet logs yesterday, so for the fun of it, I tracked the fiber I ate. It was a whopping 41.5 grams!:D The funny thing is that I didn't really eat that much yesterday. Raw food is definately good for the fiber. This is very good news for me since the doctor told me to eat more fiber.

Ooh baby, your colon must be as clean as a whistle! I just saw Dr. Oz on Oprah telling people to get 25 grams of fiber a day, so you're doing awesome :D

Is too much fibre a problem? I tracked yesterday's food on fitday, and I ate 1800 calories and a whopping 62 grams of fibre. After doing some net searching, I've found a lot of articles stating that too much fibre (most articles defined that as more than 40 grams/day) can affect the absorption of minerals and vitamins.
Thoughts?

I'm skeptical that it would affect the absorption....as I have also heard the opposite, one of the downsides to eating 6 small meals a day is that there is not enough intestinal pressure to absorb the nutrients...in comparison to a big meal, which would create the same pressure as a high fibre diet.

I read lots on the subject in general, but I agree with Dr. Gabriel Cousens that ultimately I have to be my own scientist and how I feel is the real judge of what's truly working and what is really healthy for me. The more fiber I eat, the better I feel, but with the RV diet, it's not something I need to focus on, huh.

I used the fiber 35 diet website. I also used the label information on some thinks. I had a raw bar that listed the fiber content (14 grams!!!)
