Hi,

Has anyone tried either blended or juiced spinach for like a face "cream". I've got lots or marks on my face from when i had acne when i was a teenager, and i'm just wondering if there was anything that could heal them, as well as making my skin softer and nice and mopist?

I only want to use, whole raw foods, and i know spinach is one of the most nutrious greens there is, and is easily available for me to buy, so im thinking of blending some up with just enough water so it blends, and rub it into my face. Has anyone tried this, or any other foods?

Nope, but I'm forever having kale in my teeth!!! :D

Oh and the famous green smoothie nose booger. Comes from the canning jar and the residue on the rim of the jar! Nice! :p

there are lots of foods that are terrific for the skin.
ground oats mixed to a paste with water for cleansing is very soothing and healing.
cucumber is cooling and soothing.
honey (if you use this animal product) is a good cleanser, it is naturally antibacterial and soothing to the skin.
baking soda mixed to a paste with water is a terrific scrub, very gentle but thorough.
lemon juice and/or skin to smooth rough patches on knees and elbows.
apple cider vinegar is great as a rinse for hair and skin to rebalance ph.
an infusion of rosemary brightens dark hair and helps to combat a flaky scalp, use chamomile to brighten blonde hair.
avocado has copper in it which is terrific for the skin.
wheatgrass pulp and juice can be rubbed on the skin, face or body. the juice can be added to a bath for an invigorating soak.
many essential oils are great for the face or as a soak in the tub.
carrot seed oil is excellent for combating wrinkles.
castor oil is good for cleansing the face (google the oil cleansing method), it draws out impurities.

as for healing scars, these are deep in the epidermis and can't be changed with gentle measures. deep exfoliating can help, look into microdermabrasion. there are kits that you can use at home as well but those performed in a salon or clinic will yeild more definate results.
there are oils out there as well, like bio-oil, that supposedly work but there is nothing natural that will take away deep scarring.

Great suggestions already. Just wanted to mention tea tree oil helped to significantly lighten deep surgical scars on my body. I'm noticing eating raw foods is lightening some scars on my leg, some are actually dissappearing. To the OP, hang in there with your raw foods and your body will heal itself. It may not happen overnight or even during the next 2 years, but it is possible to regenerate skin cells with an infusion of nutritious foods, positive affirmations and healing work. I'm a believer.
