Indoor Growing

Any suggestions on indoor herb growing? Can you do this year-round? I live in Oregon, so there is not much sun much of the year. Most ready-made kits are expensive or contains lots of plastic. I'd love to have a nice collection of herbs anytime from my own home! Thanks in advance for any suggetions/discussion.

Seeds are Cheap and you can do a trial pot of herbs. Soak a few seeds on a paper towel, plant them in a small pot. Plastic will keep it warm if it is cold. It must be able to breath also. For Light, if you don't have any, you can use a Flourisecent bulb. It is an easy way to practice and if it doesn't quite work, you can see where you went wrong and try again. Have a RAW Day.
