Why is using nutmilk with fruit a no-no? I thought because the nuts were blended into a milk they would be digested very easily/quickly, but all the books I read say not to mix nutmilk with fruit...
help!

Do it and see how you feel. If you feel good, continue on. If not, don't.

Erin, as Revvell asked...how do YOU feel when/if you add nut milk to other things like smoothies or what have you?
Also, keep in mind that you can be as stringent as you want with your raw diet but on occasion you may just want to have an "improperly" combined dish (like a decadent smoothie ;) )...is it really a crime to have it once in a while? You don't have to consume it daily or anything. But again, it really all boils down to how does it feel in your body?
Some people can't take eating/drinking things that are too complicated and their bodies let them know rather quickly...others can consume some of the craziest of combinations and have no ill effect. So, which category do YOU fit into?
Are you gonna listen to "the books" or are you going to listen (or learn to listen) to your own intuition and body?
But sorry, I do not have an answer for you as I've not gotten into the "rules" of eating raw...the do's and don'ts.
i do pay attention to food combining wherever possible, it makes a big difference for me.

Alissa says in her book to pay attention to food combinations if you're not losing weight fast enough or have digestive disorders. Otherwise enjoy raw and get creative or simple, whichever you please at the moment!
