Hello, all!
I'm about to embark on a 3 day water fast, and I have a few questions...
If I do this three day water fast, then eat only fruits and veggies for three days, and then do a two day water fast followed by a one day dry fast, would I be endangering my health? Is that too much fasting in one period of time?
Anything I can do to enhance the benefits of the fast?
Uhh...those are the only questions I can think of. If there's anything you think I should know, please...do tell!
Additional information: I'm female, sixteen, and overweight. For the past few weeks, I've been forcefed cooked food and it has been horrible. I had been raw ALMOST A YEAR when this happened, but ugh. I don't want to go into that. My point is, my system is probably more toxic than it otherwise would be, and I'm not sure if that changes things.
Thanks!

It's so important that you listen to your body. 2 days of water fasting can be too much for some people... whereas others can do much longer periods.
My daily iron levels are fine but my residual iron levels are low... so when I water fast... one day is enough for me. Then I make sure to have watermelon juice the next day with a touch of lime - as the lime assists my body to absorb the iron.
So... if you find yourself getting super dizzy, really weak, your skin turns really pale... consider switching to juices or back to eating raw.
Other than that... I don't see a problem with what you are wanting to do.

Hello, all!
I'm about to embark on a 5 day water fast, and I have a few questions...
If I do this five day water fast, then eat only fruits and veggies for five days, and then do a two day water fast followed by a one day dry fast, would I be endangering my health? Is that too much fasting in one period of time? Is five days in a row too much as it is?
Anything I can do to enhance the benefits of the fast?

My first question to you would be: Have you juice fasted?
It can be challenging to jump into a water fast if you've not juice fasted before.
My first water fast was 8 days - I had no agenda, just went with the flow. I'm currently on day 6 of my second water fast and it's a 100x easier than the first one plus great energy.
You might want to consider using www.FitDay.com to keep track of your weight progress. It helps to have a great set of scales. Homedics has one that measures everything including bone density for $99 at Bed Bath & Beyond (you can almost always find a 20% coupon for them!) Also there are some wonderful sites that can provide you with more info if you've not already studied them:
Water Fasting board at CureZone.com (http://www.curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=335)
JuiceFasting.org (http://www.juicefasting.org/)
FreedomYou (http://www.freedomyou.com/fasting_book/juice%20fasting.htm)
Get in touch with your body and you'll know intuitively what you need including how long to fast for.

I have not juice fasted before, but I've water fasted for three days in the past.
Thank you both for your input, it's much appreciated :)
