I remembered having a piece of dehydrated watermelon about 20 years ago. This was before I even knew about raw. I was at a friends house and she said here, try some of this. Anyway, I made some and it really is good, very sweet and reminds me of the taste of watermelon jolly ranchers. You just slice the watermelon in slices that are more than 1/4 inch but not quite 1/2 inch, maybe closer to 1/2 inch. It doesn't matter how big or small the pieces are, as long as they aren't too thick. I happened to have a piece of watermelon that had an end that was getting soft and remembered about this and didn't remember anyone on the forum talking about this. It's worth trying.

I actually just did this because I thought it would be funny to see what watermelon was like when the water was taken out! They were very good! Rich--but good!

This is one of Valya Boutenko's favorite foods.
