Poppy seed warning: They make you test positive on drug tests

I thought I'd take the time to warn people that eating poppy seeds WILL make you test positive on drugs tests for a few days after eating. Many people have lost their jobs for eating poppy seed bagels and other poppy seed containing foods. If your job does random drug tests, you should stop eating poppy seeds immediately.

I had actually heard this on Mythbusters, but it didn't take much at all to cause a false positive for the next few days, certainly not any abnormal quantity. I may re watch that episode as I had seen it years ago.

Yes, I've heard this as well. I had a friend who was in some kind of rehab program but was still using. The day she would come in for her drug test, she'd walk in eating a poppy seed bagel.
