Eilene....I've really loved your knitting website, your work is beautiful. (I also love to knit) Anyway, you have several raw dishes on your website and everytime I go there for some knitting pattern ideas I wish I had your apple pie recipe that you said you have had to even give out to some of you SAD friends. Do you mind sharing with this raw friend also. I'd also like to have the recipe for your cheesecake that you say you love and the other vegetable dish that's shown with the two above mentioned recipes. I've really enjoyed all your knitting links and your Dr. Suess quote....it's on my fridge for my family to enjoy...Thanks!!!

I wish I could knit....I know this is off topic, but I bought a small book, that was pretty much too complicated, the pictures were hard to follow. Anyone want to recommend a site to help me LEARN how to knit?? Thanks....could I get Eilene's website (email it to me?) Thanks.

You will love her site if your into knitting....just go to the banana search and put in Eilene (Eilene is her - do you call it avatar? Anyway, what your tvillemon name is) Her site is at the bottom and I'm sending you there because I'm sure you'll enjoy her quote.....it's cute and so true!!! As far as a good book....I don't know what to tell you, I learned the basics from my grandma and for me watching was the easiest way to learn. Once you know the basics you can pick up on more advanced projects by reading patterns and books. Personally, I'd find someone who is willing to show you the basics or take a class at a knitting shop for beginners. So just a little thought since you have mom included in your name....I find that when I sit down and knit, one or more of my children will migrate to where I'm at and want to talk....I've heard other mothers mention this also. Now that I think of it, when my grandmother would knit, I would like to just sit next to her and watch....she'd tell me about all kinds of things. Good Luck. Oh, and you'll enjoy her comments here and there about raw food. Yep, the last time I read Alissa's book again was while I was knitting.
