hi All
How long does it take for acne to get better if one is 90% raw and not using any chemicals on their face?
Its been about 3 years!

Have you tried a 5 day water fast? That usually clears it up.

I've not a had a problem with acne; however, I do have very sensitive and fair skin. Couple that with the fact that I work in motorcycle media so I'm out in the elements alot, I look for every possible way to keep my skin looking good.
I've personally found water fasting to soften the skin, completely even the skin tone and not had any occurrences of blemishes regardless of what activity I'm up to.
Also, I absolutely swear by Thayer's Rose Water Witch Hazel and use it at least 2x daily. I've used it for several years.
Personally, I like fasting because it's a sense of self-control and I feel much calmer and it makes me look good!
If you've been 3 years raw and still having blemishes, give the water fast a try for a few days and see if that doesn't conquer it....best wishes!

No worries - asking others will hopefully shed some light on what your body intuitively wants.
I don't have a set schedule of when I juice. Some fasts might be 3 days - some may be as long as 30.
By and large I will juice fast - not feast - but fast. Feasting is consuming about 1 gallon or more per day. For me, 2-3 glasses coupled with water and maybe green tea will set me up. Also on a juice fast, it's not unusual for me to go with just water a day or two.
On the water fasts, the longest I've gone is 8 days. I'm now on day 6 of a water fast and would like to do 10 days. If I continue to have the high energy that I've been having on this fast, the fast may continue much longer.
Some water fasters swear that it must be straight water and nothing else. I will have water with a squeeze of lime because that's my preference. Some days I will also have herbal green tea and/or Bragg's apple cider vinegar with some drops of liquid stevia.
Anyone who decides to water fast will have their reasons whether that be health, weight loss, spiritual or religious. I fast because of health reasons - my mother is on 24 medications, oxygen and is obese and is only 15 years older than me. My father (20 years older) had emergency quadruple bypass 6 years ago. They both have diabetes. Simply put, I don't want to go down the path they have.
I've not been to a doctor in more than 11 years; I've not had a prescription medication in more than 20. When I visit my mother and she jabs at me to take my blood sugar it's always perfect and same with blood pressure. It breaks my heart to see my mother reveling in her sickness but she does. If I was using a wheelchair, on oxygen and that many medications and couldn't have the action oriented life that I do, I truly think I'd go around the bend in no time.
Fasting allows the body to run itself on fat, diseased cells, etc. The last thing the body will consume is muscle or organs. Contrary to what "doctors" think, the body IS the most intelligent thing on this planet and when allowed to fast, will do amazing things to heal itself. Digestion takes up approximately 1/3 of one's daily energy so if there's nothing to digest, the body is able to utilize that energy towards housekeeping.
My apologies if this was too long winded. If there was anything I overlooked, please let me know.

If you have a juicer, try drinking cucumber juice on a regular basis (it doesn't have to be straight cucumber juice but maybe the juice of a whole cucumber mixed with your favorite vegetable or fruit juice). I have never tried this but I've heard that it's worked for others.

In the meantime, while you're fasting or eating, if you have a pimple, a cheap and very good treatment is aloe with tea tree and vitamin e. I have a container in my bathroom that I mixed up about 6 months ago - about 7/8 aloe with most of the rest tea tree oil and just a few drops of e in it. It doesn't dry out your skin while it's healing the pimple. If I see some coming on, I smear it all over my whole face before bed and always look better in the morning.
