I started Alissa's sugar poptarts yesterday, the recipe said to leave the wrapper in the dehydrator for a few hours, mine took over 24 hours so I could peel off the paper.

But my main question is, there are about as much wrapper ingredients (in volume) as there are filling ingredients. The recipe says to put a thin layer of filling and then fold the wrapper in half. It seems that if I do this I will have 3/4's of the filling ingredients left.

Am I missing something or does it make waaay too much filling compared to the wrappers?

Thanks

maybe instead of thin layer, she meant even layer..so a thick, even layer--

or, maybe you didn't "roll" out the crust layer thin enough?

Well I decided to follow my instinct and made half of the filling ingredients and layered it very thick and there was still too much.

Does anyone know if I misunderstood something or if there's a mistake in the pop tart recipes?

Thanks
