Is vegetable/olive oil raw? I need to gain weight and I'm allergic to nuts and coconut oil and hate avocados. I was told to add oil to my normal meals.
Thanks. :)

Yep, just make sure it's cold pressed....and keep it out of direct sunlight or it will go rancid.

I buy a brand called Napa Valley Naturals Extra Virgin Organic Olive oil at my local store...it says it is pressed at 98.5 degrees or less so I feel confident it is raw...best of all it is pretty cheap compared to some of the olive oils specifically marketed to the raw community....
While we are on the subject my local HFS sells black olives in refrigerated bulk containers that say sun-dried....would these be considered raw? They are considerably cheaper than the raw olives that I buy online

Vegetable oil is not a raw food. Cold-pressed olive oil is, and if you can afford the first pressed, it is the BEST. I once went to an olive oil workshop at Whole Foods when I lived in the DFW area back in Texas. It was very similar to going to a wine-tasting! Olive oils have very different nuances, tones, and flavors depending on many factors - the pressing, the variety, and the soil/environment the olives were grown in just to name a few. Darker ones are heavier and kinda grassy-tasting. Some of the lighter yellow ones from Spain I noticed were very buttery. One even seemed a little crisp, and apple-like. It was a wonderful workshop - if you have Whole Foods in your area, you might ask if they could do one!
