I tried the LIMEade today. And, if you muddle some mint leaves in it - it tastes like a Mojito without the fun.
Mmmmm. yummy.

I think a "muddler" is used to mix ingredients - in this case the mint leaves with the agave/lime juice I'm guessing. I think the muddle approach is used traditionally with drinks where you have dry ingredients like mint leaves (or ingredients that should be mixed before first before adding anything else). If you mix the mint with the agave or lime juice first before adding any other liquids it is supposed to help release the oils and other properties that the mint leaves have. I don't own a muddler but I do this with my version of limeade when I'm using lots of ginger....
As a brazilian, lime is the norm for me. Lemon is not as common in Brazil. Even here, I use much more lime than lemon in recipes. Specially salads...
And caipirinha..... errr....In the past, I mean... ;)

You put the mint leaves in the bottom of a glass and typically use a wooden device (muddler) to crush the mint leaves thereby releasing their oils. Then you add your liquor and mixers.
Mojitos and Mint Juleps are made this way.

Yes. And a mojito recipe is sugar (I always used raw agave), limes, mint, and the fun... LOL.
Although, the idea of ginger sounds yummy too. I'll have to try that.
I have started just shooting the cayenne in two fingers of water, a few times a day. That gets it out of the way, and I can take more.
WISH ME LUCK. I've faltered the past two evenings... today I will stay on TASK!

muddling is kind of like using a mortar and pestle, right?
sounds yummy. when i go out to bars/restaurants with bars i often order water or seltzer with lots of limes and a squirt of agave (sometimes i bring my own but tequila bars often have it as do some with more 'upscale' drink menus)

Very similar yes. You just want to make sure the mint leaves are in the glass you will be using. I'm guessing if a pestle was used the oils would make future grindings more "minty" than what might have intended! :)
